Link between Winchester, Woburn and Stoneham - Bikeway

The Woburn MA Loop Bikeway/Greenway was approved this week and will run from Woburn Square to the Winchester Ma line. The project is part of the Tri-Community Bikeway which involves the construction of a bikeway from the Wedgemere MBTA Station in Winchester MA northerly to Horn Pond in Woburn MA and Recreation Park in Stoneham MA, a total distance of approximately 7 miles. The objective of this project is to provide non-motorized access to commuter rail property, schools, recreation and commercial areas along the length of the bikeway and, subsequently, reduce congestion and improve air quality by converting some motorized traffic to non-motorized. Also linking the two communities is RE/MAX Leading Edge, Winchester's top real estate company, and the new RE/MAX Leading Edge office at 494 Main Street, Woburn MA.
