12 Sep - Sun - Meet Author Warren Richey
Warren Richey will sign and speak about his book, Without A Paddle on Sunday, September 12th at 3 pm. This travel narrative and memoir is the story of a 1,2000 mile race around Florida in a sea kayak. At the time, the 50 year old journalist was finding his way back from a failed marriage. He navigates through moonless nights, driving rain, and blazing sun, across shark- and python-infested waters, not knowing if he can make it even halfway to Lostman's River.
Then, out there alone on the water, he makes a pledge. If his girlfriend (Winchester native Linda Feldman) is standing on the beach at the finish line, he'll immediately drop to a knee and propose marriage.
This reading is free and open to the public.08 Sep - Wed - Drop in Storytime
