New Mexican Restaurant
A new restaurant called Rodeo opened on Swanton Street where Pastazza used to be. It's really good, very reasonably priced and very kid friendly. They're on hold to get their liquor license and it should go through very soon. I highly recommend it, service is good and it's a nice alternative from pizza.
The baby swans
Am I the only one who has seen them? A couple of weeks ago I saw the swans in the pond behind the library. Floating behind them were 4 babies. I haven't seen the little ones since. I don't know if they spend a lot of time in their next or if something has happened to them. It was a sweet sight to see although Daddy Swan made sure I kept a respectful distance even way up on the bank.
Has anyone else spotted them?Dinner from the Farmers Market
So, I've decided to buy all or at least most of the ingredients for Saturday night's evening meal from the Farmer's market. Last week I had fresh salmon and asparagus with a seafood blend of spices from Soluna Gardens.
Tonight I have company and had the main ingredients, but I got the ingredients for the Greek salad from E.L. Silvia's Farm and Hanson's Farm. Cheese from Pairings and fresh bread from Mamadou's Bakery. I also was so excited to see a new meat vendor , John Crow Farm. He has Highland beef and if you haven't had it, you've been missing out.
Love the market and I look forward to new things every week.lost cat I'm so sorry to hear this. Have you contacted the town's animal control officer? If you want some help flyering, please post how we can get flyers. I hope she's back home soon.
looking for landscaping company recommendation I will admit to extreme bias because I work for them, but Perennial Landscape Corporation is a local outfit and I think we're good. If you go to the Winchester Chamber of Commerce site they have other companies listed as well. There are a lot of good local companies that would be more than happy to help you out.
